
Annual Awards
Each spring, in conjunction with the Butler County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Services Board, we recognize providers, first responders, leaders and innovators that are involved in the fields of mental health & addiction recovery services in Butler County.
The 2023 Annual Awards dinner will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Hamilton, OH, in conjunction with the Butler County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Services Board. Tickets will go on sale in February.
The following awards will be presented.

awarded to an individual who has provided distinguished service for 20+ years in the area of mental health and/or addiction services.

Excellence in CIT Leadership
awarded to a person in a law enforcement leadership position who promotes CIT and ensures support for the CIT teams, core elements, practices and partnerships.

Excellence in Crisis (First) Response
awarded for distinguished performance in first response situations in the field of mental health and/or addiction. (e.g. police, fire, EMTs, crisis/outreach workers, etc)

Excellence in Clinical Service
awarded for distinguished clinical work in psychiatry, therapy or case management

Community Behavioral Health
Excellence in Crisis Collaboration
special award for excellence in collaboration in a crisis situation
Duane Monroe
Butler County Sheriff's Office
Program of the Year
awarded for an outstanding or innovative program in the field of mental health and/or addiction recovery services.
Help for Heroes
Beckett Springs Hospital
CIT Officer of the Year
awarded to a CIT trained officer who has consistently demonstrated compassion, persistence and collaboration with outside resources related to mental health crisis calls for service.

Excellence in Criminal Justice
awarded to an individual in the field of criminal justice for exemplary service to, or interaction with, the mental health or addiction population. (e.g. jail personnel, probation officers, court personnel)

Excellence in Support Service
awarded for distinguished performance in support services. (e.g. receptionists, office managers, executive assistants, billing personnel, custodial staff)
